Overview
Considering the size of it’s world famous annual horse racing event, The Grand National, it may surprise the visitor to know that the home of the Aintree Racecourse is actually only a village. Standing on the outskirts of Liverpool with access to all of the area’s best shops and attractions including Knowsley Safari Park, the Tate Liverpool Museum and Croxteth Hall. Aintree is served by the Old Roan Railway Station and by Aintree Railway Station, with Old Roan being closer to the centre of the village. Buses provide regular travel into Liverpool, and the coast can be reached in only twenty minutes.
