Overview
Huddersfield is a large market town in the metropolitan borough of Kirklees in West Yorkshire, England. It had 162,949 residents at the 2011 census. The town is known for its role in the Industrial Revolution, and for being the birthplaces of rugby league, Labour Prime Minister Harold Wilson, and the film star James Mason. Huddersfield is a town of Victorian architecture.
